  • “Not only is the game itself incredibly polished, but the care and attention put into the video editing really stood out as well.”
  • “I love how the game’s serious sci-fi setting is perfectly matched by the background art in every stage. The consistent storytelling that ties all the stages together is another standout feature.”

Judges’ Comments

  • “The Japanese-inspired setting is beautifully realized! There’s a great variety of characters, and the boss designs are especially impressive, they’re a must-see!”
  • “The pixel art is meticulously crafted, and it does a fantastic job of conveying the eerie world overrun by supernatural creatures.”
  • “The cast ranges from charming to genuinely creepy, making every encounter fun to watch. I also loved the dramatic backdrop during the Stage 3 boss battle!”

Judges’ Comments

  • “The player’s power-up progression is easy to understand, and the boss designs and use of color are especially beautiful.”
  • “If I were actually playing this game, I’d probably get distracted by the stunning background art and end up getting hit by enemies over and over. That’s how captivating the visuals are. Absolutely fantastic.”
  • “The city skyline in Stage 1, the desert and craters in Stage 2, and the fortress in Stage 3 all feature beautiful background art. Combined with the high-energy soundtrack, they create an incredibly cool experience!”

Judges’ Comments

  • “The heartwarming music and adorable characters are simply delightful! I’d happily stay in an endless loop of the boss battles just to keep enjoying them!”
  • “The girl on the title screen and the bosses in Stages 1 and 2 are absolutely adorable! I also love the clever way the Stage 3 boss conveys its enormous size by using two character sprites against a dark background.”
  • “From the game logo, character designs to the enemy designs and even the attack patterns, everything feels perfectly unified around the game’s theme. The world could definitely use more cute shooting games like this!”

Judges’ Comments

  • “The soundtrack is incredible! This game is a great reminder that an unforgettable BGM is one of the defining elements of a great shooting game.”
  • “I love the creative idea of using the background as a message window. The attention to detail is especially impressive, such as how the boss gradually shows more battle damage from Stages 1 to 3.”
  • “One of my favorite moments is the opening of Stage 1, where you launch from the planet into outer space. The dreamlike visuals, especially the cosmic scenery in Stage 1 and the warped space in Stage 3, really stand out from the rest.”

Judges’ Comments

  • “The enemy placement is exceptional. The wide variety of stage mechanics and boss attack patterns gives the game an outstanding level of polish as a unique shooting game.”
  • “The way the diverse boss attacks have been reimagined using Dezaemon’s unique features is absolutely brilliant.”
  • “Considering the game’s limitation to low-speed scrolling, it’s impressive how much of a sense of speed the creator was able to achieve. The fast-paced feeling in Stage 1 is especially fantastic! I also loved the creativity behind each boss’s attack patterns throughout the game.”
